Student Portal
Access your university services, learning platforms, and student resources.
The Student Portal gathers the systems you use as a UPNG student onto one page — your student email, Moodle for coursework, results and transcripts, fee payment and course registration, and the library, timetables and campus information you reach for through the semester.
Start with the Student Life links below for services and support, scholarships and bursaries, and clubs and societies. Further down, everyday systems are grouped by the job you came to do. Each link opens the service that runs it, so most will ask for your UPNG student login.

Where to go when something on campus needs sorting out.
How do I apply to UPNG as an undergraduate student?
Undergraduate students apply through the PNG National Application System, coordinated by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology. Applications open each year in September. Visit the Admissions Office at Waigani Campus for assistance with your application.
Is on-campus accommodation available?
Yes. UPNG provides on-campus accommodation at Waigani Campus. Housing is allocated on a priority basis, with preference given to students from outside the National Capital District. Applications for accommodation are made during the enrolment process.
What faculties and schools does UPNG offer?
UPNG has six schools: Medicine & Health Sciences, Law, Humanities & Social Sciences, Natural & Physical Sciences, Business & Public Policy, and Engineering. Each school offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Where is UPNG located?
The main campus is located at Waigani, National Capital District, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The School of Medicine & Health Sciences also operates a campus at Taurama, adjacent to Port Moresby General Hospital.
What are the minimum entry requirements?
Most undergraduate programs require a PNG Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum GPA of 2.2–3.2 (depending on the program), an upper secondary pass in English (C grade or above), and relevant subject prerequisites. Some programs such as Medicine and Law have higher requirements.
