Bachelor of Oral Health
Program Overview
The Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) is a four-year undergraduate degree preparing oral health practitioners with specialised skills in preventive dentistry and community oral health. The program shares the BDS curriculum for Years 2 and 3, providing a strong foundation in dental and health sciences, basic medical sciences, and applied clinical dental practice.
Year 4 diverges from the BDS with dedicated study in Applied Clinical Oral Health Practice and Community Oral Health Practice — both intensive clinical courses totalling 30 credits — ensuring graduates are equipped to deliver high-impact oral health promotion and preventive programmes in Papua New Guinea's communities and primary health care settings.
