Bachelor of Arts (Major in Journalism & Public Relations)
Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism and Public Relations provides professional training for those who will become Public Relations Officers, Journalists, and Media Specialists. Information and communication are strategic resources across most areas of endeavour, and this program equips students with practical and theoretical skills for the electronic and print media industries, public relations and marketing industries, and publishing industries.
Students develop skills in news writing and reporting, broadcast journalism, digital media, public relations strategy, media law, and communication ethics. Graduates are well-positioned for careers in PNG's growing media sector, government communications, corporate public relations, and development communications.
