Diploma in Business & Management (External Mode Only)

Program Overview

The Diploma in Business Management (External Mode Only) is a foundation-level program available exclusively through the UPNG Open College and its partner campuses and sub-centres. It is designed for students who have completed the Business Management Foundation Year (BMFY) through external mode and wish to continue to diploma-level study in business management.

The program provides a grounding in core business management principles, preparing graduates for entry-level management roles or for progression towards the Bachelor of Business and Management degree. External mode delivery makes the program accessible to students across Papua New Guinea who cannot attend the residential Waigani campus, with study available through Open Campuses in Buka, Kokopo, Madang, Mt Hagen, and the National Capital District, as well as through sub-centres and franchise partners across the country.

Entry Requirements

Entry to the Diploma in Business Management (External Mode Only) requires:

  • Successful completion of all Business Management Foundation Year (BMFY) program courses through external mode.
  • Satisfaction of the University's continuation criteria for Year 2 of study.

There is no direct entry to this program from Grade 12; applicants must first complete the BMFY external program.
